• Is Margarita’s World new? No, Margarita’s World was established in 2002-2003. Though it was down for a period of time.
  • What is Margarita’s World? Margarita’s World is a window into Margarita Boettcher’s creative mind. Margarita’s World until recently was primarily a graphics web site. It now includes a place to view, commission, and purchase my original paintings.
  • Can you tell me how you classify your art? Certainly! Please read my “artist’s statement”. (link is on front page)
  • Do you still offer graphics? Yes. I create web sets, site tops, slide shows, etc. by request for private memorial pages only.
  • Why only for memorials? Simply because of time restraints. However, there will be a few pages of graphics that can be borrowed so long as you give me credit for my work on the page you display my graphics and point viewers back to my web site. It is not linkware! Read my terms of use page. (Link is in graphics page)
  • Why do you offer graphics for memorials and how can I request graphics? I believe that building memorials can often be a constructive outlet in the grieving process. It is a page honoring your angel were you could share life and loss. I believe in reaching out to assure anyone grieving that they are not alone. That I want to know about their angel no matter their age and that there are millions out there who do too. Please send all requests to margaritaboettcher@margaritasworld.net.
  • What kind of canvas do you use? For the floral paintings I use Lyons premium canvas panel, acrylic double primed. Because the floral paintings generally come in smaller sizes no bigger then 11x14, unless other wise commissioned, the canvas panel is easier to frame. I also use the canvas panel to leave the price of the floral paintings down. For the landscape paintings sizes ranging anywhere from 16x20 to 24x36 I use cotton canvas, 10 oz weight primed with acid-free titanium gesso, medium texture, gallery stretched and hand splined, 3/4 inch depth.
  • What kind of paint do you use? Acrylic. All paintings are sealed with clear acrylic matte sealer.
  • I am interested in a painting. Can I get a closer look before I decide? Yes of course. All paintings still available for purchase can be clicked for a larger image. If you still want to see more please e-mail me at margaritaboettcher@margaritasworld.net your request. I will give you a direct link for a closer, clearer look.
  • Do you take commissions? Yes. Floral paintings with a name or saying can be commissioned. The work will begin after payment in full is received. Except for the holiday season the painting will be shipped to you in 2 weeks or less. The details (sizes, prices, preferences, colors, etc.) will be arranged with you after you contact me to commission the work. Please check for wait during holiday season.
  • Do you take commissions for the landscape paintings? Yes.  Even though my orginal paintings are my passion and the heart of all of my work. The results just happen when my imagination spills over through the paintbrush. However, I do on occasion make a similar painting, not a copy, of a particular painting already sold that interests a buyer. I begin the work after half of the price for the painting is received. I will contact you with a picture of the result. After the payment is paid in full I ship the final painting to you. Any other details will be worked out between us once you contact me with your request.
  • What kind of payments do you take? You can check out all your payment options through PayPal.
  • Do I have to be a PayPal member? No. You do not need to be a PayPal member. During the payment steps PayPal asks you to pick a username and password in case you do want to become a member and use PayPal for all your online shopping. After the purchase PayPal will send you an email, along with your purchase confirmation email, that asks you to respond to activate a member ship. But you are not in any way obligated to respond or become a member.
  • Why PayPal? I picked PayPal because many online shoppers either don’t have credit cards or prefer not to use them. With PayPal my customers have other options besides credit cards. I also picked them to protect my customers’ sensitive information. To learn more visit https://www.paypal.com/.
  • When will you start selling your ready made floral paintings? As soon as possible. I am currently working on a solid body of work to offer. There will be a shopping cart in the Floral Collection and Floral Commission pages.
  • Do you sell prints of your paintings or your sketches? Yes. You can purchase prints of some of my work on OpticalReverb.com.  I am currently working on selecting merchandise that will be available with my work.
  • Once I buy a painting do I own the copyrights? No. The original painting is for sale, not the copyrights. All copyrights of the painting are retained by the artist. Reproductions and copies including copies and distribution of digital images are prohibited without written permission of the artist.
  • How do you ship the paintings and how much does it cost? I use UPS to ship all my paintings. I choose UPS because they have excellent insurance for the shipment, we can track the package through every step of the shipment process, they are reliable, and they are affordable. I charge flat fees for all in country orders of $10.00 for the small packages and $20.00 for the large packages. The charge will be added to your purchase price at checkout. There will be an additional fee for all out of country and overseas shipments. I do not make a profit from your shipping fees. They are absolutely basic and necessary to your painting's safety and your satisfaction.
  • How can I track my shipment? You will receive an email with your tracking number the minute your package is shipped. (usually ships within 3 business days) There is a link on the main page of Margarita’s World to track your package with UPS.
  • If you have a question that was not answered on this page feel free to email margaritaboettcher@margaritasworld.net.
